About the Conference
Precision medicine has been highly recognized by medical community as a new medical model, which is revolutionizing all areas of health and disease. It is one of the most exciting and promising frontiers in medicine and holds the greatest potential in the discovery and development of personalized therapeutics and diagnostics. Countries across the world have started or are on the process to start precision medicine programs. Among them the Chinese government has initiated precision medicine projects and plans to input in this industry a total of about USD 8.8 billion subsidy before 2030, out of the acknowledgement about the importance of precision medicine on health industry reform and Health China construction.
After the previous five successful international forums, we here present the 6th Chengdu International Forum on Precision Medicine at Sichuan University / West China Hospital (SCU/WCH) in Chengdu, China, on September 25-27, 2020. West China Hospital of Sichuan University is at the forefront of China’s precision medicine initiative, specifically aiming at precision medicine cohort studies, research on malignant tumors, pharmacogenomics, single-cell technology and human cell atlas, as well as development of gene diagnostic technology, targeted tracers and drugs.
